Expansion of Services at BASES in Charlevoix

Bay Area Substance Education Services, Inc. (BASES) is a private, nonprofit, licensed substance abuse agency that has been serving northern Michigan communities since 1993. Recently, BASES became accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF) and was added to the provider panel for the Northern Michigan Regional Entity (NMRE). With these new changes, BASES is now able to accept some publically funded insurances (Medicaid, Healthy Michigan, MIChild, etc.).

BASES is dedicated to helping others with their substance abuse issues. We provide substance abuse prevention, education, early intervention, and treatment services. BASES has expertise working with high risk youth and low income individuals and families.

Available services for adolescents and adults at BASES include: substance abuse groups for adolescents, substance abuse groups for adults with specialty groups for women and men, substance abuse assessments, outpatient counseling, drug testing/PBT testing, zero tolerance education classes for first time minors in possession offenders, and alcohol highway safety education classes for first time driving while impaired offenders.

BASES is located at 208 W. Lincoln, Charlevoix, MI 49720. Our hours of operation are: Sunday 3:00-6:00 pm, Monday through Thursday 10:00-6:00 pm, and Friday from 10:00-5:00 pm.
